Bogus email and No help from PayPal

I received an email that PayPal had blocked some suspicious activity. I was to open their app. Don't want to as I have an android and not an iPhone. I opened my account and used the bot to ask about the notice. They said I had to open the app also. Gave me several articles to read, etc. Why couldn't they just tell me what was wrong. I opened several monthly statements and saw nothing wrong but if it was blocked nothing would appear. So what do you do??

I've got the app on my android as have millions of folks.
However are you sure it wasn't a spoof email? Did they tell you to click on any links etc in the app?
If not then your best bet is to ask customer services as per one of the options in the link.
