Anyone else having problems getting a refund from PayPal after being scammed by Derila?

I ordered 1 pillow, 1 pillowcase and 1 pack of patches but Derila managed to set up automatic payments without my consent and changed the order to 4 pillows, 1 pillowcase and 4 packs of patches totalling $279aud. PayPal have refused my claim that I was overcharged or scammed even though I put screenshots of other people having the same issues.
I’m absolutely disgusted that PayPal are aware of these scammers and are actively allowing them to continue scamming hard working people out of their money.

I can’t even find a phone number for PayPal anymore.

Is anyone able to help out with this?

A lot of times what happens is people accept a free trial for a product, and it sets up a subscription. Be careful what you are accepting.

Once its a subscription then you are instructing paypal to pay it for you when due.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Hey @kernowlass

Thanks for the response.

It is not a subscription. When an order is placed, Derilla go into the back end of the offer and change it. They even make the Paypal page look different somehow. It's all automated and still amazes me that Paypal can't see what is happening, or maybe don't want to see what is happening to their customers.

Derilla are just constantly ripping people off. I don't know how these people sleep at night.

Derilla refunded me eventually as I left them a terrible review on Trust Pilot (After Paypal refused to give me a refund). Even to this day, they call me to ask me to take down my review. I block the number and they pop up with another different number.

They are con artists.

I have the same problem with Derila and will NEVER order online again. They ruin online shopping for legit business.

I have been trying to get my $2,337 refunds from Mobile Bee gaming, PayPal says they credited back Chime and Wisley, but neither card says they do not have them!! I did spreadsheets showing dates of refunds, transaction numbers and showing refunds from Mobile Bee, dates PayPal said they sent back to card, Chime keeps saying the “WRONG” last 4 digits they said they refunded too- not my number, told them they just ignored me! i also want to do a lawsuit on PayPal, Chime and Wisley for what they owe me, i am 75 and stressed beyond healthy, almost had my car repossed because they did not credit it to me, also my house about to be foreclosed on thanks to them keeping my money…. can someone please direct me where I can go and get help to get my money, I did the hard work and tracking it, all is done for someone to help me..I need an attorney to help me please…. Derila ran the exact same scam on me.  If you Google Derila Pillow Scam there are hundreds of link to Reddit threads about this company ripping people off, yet PayPal still allows people to pay using PayPal, even though it is a known scam.  I have disputed the charges in PayPal and with my bank that issued the credit card, as well as set up a web page informing people about this company.  If PayPal chooses to let people pay these scammers with PayPal then they should keep their promise and reimburse those that were cheated.  DO NOT ORDER FROM DERILA, they are scammers and theives.

Yes, I have been scammed by a couple of companies around the returns of sub-standard products, the parent company being in China or Lithuania.

I am still fuming over the Derila pillow for snorers, as well as a clothing company that sent me cheaply-made products, including clothes that were so small, they couldn't fit a doll.  You cannot send them back without incurring ridiculous postage fees, as they direct you to send them back to Lithuania, etc. even when their product return address on the envelope is Wayne, N.J.   I will first check with amazon.com to see if they carry a similar product, hopefully returnable to them alone.

Chinese Web Sites or on Social Media ads easy to spot (once you know the below signs) so buyer beware.

The best thing is to not buy from them in the first place, to recognise them -

1. No return address on the returns policy. The site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) but they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost often more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number. if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. Rarely company address information.
4. Great pictures of items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.
5. Fake reviews.
6. Google and you can often see previous company names as they change them once enough claims roll in and Paypal stop them using their services and start over.
7. Send fake tracking numbers to win item non receipt of item claims.

Don't think its the same on Amazon because as the sellers list and accept payment on the same site its an easier return process (in my opinion).

Yes we got caught out as well with ausana. My wife goy caught and hit 4 times for different things.

I called back and they said it's to late they sent it. From Sydney...but returns only to Lithuania.

I checked with paypal site and I could see that there is nothing to be done...fix it yourself.

The reason we use paypal is because we think it safer  and any problems such as what we are talking about,  would be  atendant too.

It would be nice if paypal was a little bit more investigative when they allow business (at least) and check them out better. I know it would be harder with individuals

Paypal would not be able to check every individual seller / merchant / company in over 200 countries worldwide that adds paypal to their website to accept payments.

So they give some buyer and some seller protection. However that protection can never be a 100% coverall so you need to read it so you can risk assess your transactions.

They do stop bad companies from using Paypal when enough claims start rolling in.
However its easy for them to just start over with a new name, so stopping them does not really do anything.
