Account permanently limited immediately after creation

A few days ago a friend told me that PayPal can automatically detect fake names like "mickey mouse" and automatically limit their account, and also I heard that if my account is limited I have to talk to the contact people to resolve limitation, but they will make me link a government ID.

I made a TEMPORARY account to pay someone seconds ago with an actual name (john doe), but it got permanently limited immediately after it was created. Yesterday I made another account called "temporary account" to pay someone but that got permanently limited immediately. I was confused because when I saw that "send" input in the sending page, I saw other people who were named "temporary account". Were they disabled, and is PayPal not letting me make anymore accounts without showing my ID?

I just want to have a temporary account to pay for Twitter commissions via prepaid cards because I don't want to show my real name to the merchants.

I mean, I did make a few accounts before the limited which were named temporary account and they didn't get limited, however now when I called PayPal about the recent limitation, they said the system automatically detected the name as suspicious so that's why it was limited.

Also I meant last week I made the "temporary account" account which got banned, not yesterday.

Hello @idk16,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I am sorry to hear about the permanent limitation on your account. I understand this can be frustrating, but these decisions are not something made lightly. Typically if an account has been permanent limited, then some part of our agreement has been broken, but without being able to see the account, I would not be able to share any details as we cannot any account related information on this platform for security reasons. If you believe that there was a mistake, you can request a second look at the basis for the limitation decision and review if there is anything that was missed. If there is a mistake found, it can be corrected. If the decision is upheld however, there would be no further avenue for appeal, as a permanent limitation is final. In this case, I would suggest reaching out to PayPal Customer Support using any of the options found, as they will be able to provide more direct assistance. Support is also available through Facebook by sending PM, Twitter and Instagram on DM.

Regards,
Ayesha
