Paypal limited our non profit business account without any reason. We are not even able to login. Our account have thousands of dollars in fund.
As we can not even login, can not raise any ticket, post question in community or get any help.
When contacted call center on phone, they did not give any reason. They said account is limited and appeal is denied.
They did not ask any question or supporting document about what is needed.
We were operating this account since last 4-5 years and are in good standing with all authorities, IRS and state.
When asked about the when funds will be available, there is no response to that as well.
there is no email or letter til date informing us about this whole issue and reason for it.
Is it some reputable financial services company or some scamster or fraud which is just closing account with huge funds and keeping it hostage and no answers.
What are my options? How I can get my funds back?

Everyone who posts on here about being limited always says that they had broken no rules. However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account than interest on any held money.
If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.
If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.
Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I understand what you said. But in my case, they first asked for SSN proof and photo id and agent said, account access will be restored to upload those documents to remove limitation. But later
1. Paypal even blocked the login without any notice. Now there is no way to contact them accept phone call which takes forever to connect and everytime a new agent comes and share something different.
2. We need to file return and there is no way to get access to our records.
3. There is no way to download statements, customer contacts etc
4. There is no written communication or email from Paypal on this matter yet. They did not communicate that our account access is blocked, what was the reason, did not gave any opporunity to correct or provide any documentation.
5. There is no communication or ackowledgement that what is our account balance and when and how we will get it back.
6. If after 180 days there is no dispute and no claim, isn't it prove the fact that there is nothing wrong with account? In last 5 years of operation we did not have any refund, dispute or complain etc
All of above points seems like a simple business procedure and customer service, which Paypal should adhere to. But arrogant agent on phone, simply refused to acknowledge and rudely said this is how Paypal works and we can not give any information.
Paypal is not the only provider and there are better options available, but this treatment is totally created a mistrust for Paypal and definately would never engage in any kind of dealing with them in future.
