Account limitation

My PayPal account got permanent limited, and all of my funds are being held for 120 days. The email I got claims the reason is because I’m underage and not a resident of the United States. Hate to break it but I’m 38 years old and live in North Carolina in the USA. Seems like some type of scam to keep my money held up so PayPal can invest it in other ventures, like the banks do. This is absolutely ridiculous. I sent these people my drivers license, every bit of information they requested. How does a birthday of [removed] and a North Carolina address say I’m underage and not a resident of the USA? 😂 Robbery. Right before this happened I got a phone call from PayPal at 11:04pm while I’m laying in the bed asleep. Now I’m awake and extremely irritated by this situation and false reason for a suspension. Who else has dealt with this? I’m sure I’m not the only one. Thank god all of this is can be legally proven . It’s only $700 but it’s the principle they’re able to just make up a reason and do this. Seriously this can’t be legal

You had a phone call from Paypal, are you sure it was paypal as very unlikely they would phone you about a limitation.

Did you give that paypal ''agent'' any account information?

Thinking you may have been hacked and someone underage using your paypal account?

Yeah it was definitely PayPal: [Removed. Phone #s not permitted]is the number that called me. My account shows the limitation and I got an email from PayPal pertaining to it. No. No one underage has used my account. It’s for my business. Our payment processor was down so we were using PayPal temporarily until we got migrated over to another gateway. After about 10 transactions PayPal started requesting a ton of info. Identification, invoices, receipts, proof of delivery for products, tracking numbers, images of products. I spent a couple hours gathering all of the necessary information they requested. Took a 45 minute ride down to our warehouse to get product images. Once I submitted it, it was under review for roughly 2 days. The next thing I know I get the alert that PayPal has permanently limited my account and are holding my funds for 120 days. The email from PayPal is as follows: We're unable to continue processing payments for this account We strive to provide our customers with seamless and user-friendly payments solutions. Unfortunately, sometimes we can't process activity for a variety of reasons, including local laws, our policies, or the policies of our partner banks and card networks. Based on the information we have today, it looks like this account was created by an underage person or by a resident of a country where we don't accept customers yet. What can I currently do with my account? Unfortunately, at this time most of your account features have been deactivated. We may hold any funds in your account for up to 120 day(s) to cover things like chargebacks or other financial liabilities. Absolutely Ludacris. And of course they do not respond when I inquire about it
