Account Limited .. Politically exposed person

I recently tried to buy a CD on ebay and was unable to pay because my Paypal Account had been Limited. I logged into my Paypal account to make sure

it hadn`t been compromised and thankfully it hadn`t , however my account had indeed been limited. i was asked to answer yes or no to me being a

Politically exposed person which i had to google first to find out what it was.

I am a worker for the Local Council on £10 an hour so found this question laughable , however i replied No and waited for the reply.

I have just recieved a reply and need to provide Paypal with  photo ID .

I dont drive so have no License and my passport expired in2017 , i have no current photo ID. This means i have to fork out  almost £100 to renew my passport  in the hope that this will allow me to continue using Paypal.

I buy CDs and low item stuff on ebay and have paypal linked to my betting account where i bet on the lottery so where they have got this Political thing from i dont know.

Is there  any other way i can solve this without having to get a passport.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Exactly the same situation happened to me just now, I am fuming! I don't have a passport, drivers license or anything either!!! I answered their ridiculous question and waiting to bear but I have bills that come out of my PayPal! I have politics and have zero interest in them so why the hell has this happened?!
