My money was put on 180 day hold. My account was then limited for any use, and now my actual PayPal account is closed so I cannot do anything at all with any services offered from PayPal including transferring the rest of my money that is in my account into another bank account. I called and spoke to a PayPal customer service representative in December were they explained that the 180 days would be up on January 1 of 2021 we are now at the 12th of the month and my money is still unable to transfer and being held. I’m not sure what to do in regards to being able to just transfer my money out and having my account closed and calling it a day but it is to a point where now PayPal is holding my money past the date they said they would which is illegal And I am on the road to contacting an attorney to handle this and just situation. Can anybody help with any advice?

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
