I had similar sitation yesterday. someone hacked into my paypal account and made two transaction from an Italian merchant. (I am based in Singapore and speak no italian). the hacker also added a random creditcard in my account.

I received notification from paypal about the transaction and straight away change my password and removed all linked credit card. but unfortunately the payment has already taken from my credit card. Reported to paypal but they just closed my case and said its not a fraud...... I am not able contact Customer Service from Paypal, the paypal chatbot said not customer service is available at the moment.....!!

Any idea what else can i do?

Hello @nika31 and @kwwk

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you have some activity on your accounts that you don't recognize. If you see the activity on your PayPal account, we normally recommend reporting the activity through our Resolution Center. You can find more information on how to do so here: How do I report an unauthorized transaction or account activity?

If you don't see it on your PayPal account, please reach out to the funding source the activity occurred on to see what reporting options are available. If you run into any speed-bumps along the way, our Customer Support teams are also available via Facebook PM and Twitter DM.

Good luck and best wishes to you both!
