Account Limitaions, UK, failed verification

My account has been unfairly limited after a failed review. The email I received stated the reason for limiting my account was that I was under 18 years old. During the review process, the paypal team asked for proof of identity, which I provided with a valid UK passport, clearly stating my date of birth in 2002. The email was also phrased as if I am running a business through PayPal, which I am not, nor ever have. Any and all help is appreciated.

did you open your paypal account when you were a minor as that would make a difference?

My parents opened the account in December of 2019, for use on a Microsoft account, and I then took over the account once I was 18.

A personal account has to be in one persons name, you can't change account ownership.

So if it was in your name then regardless of who used it before you took over it would have been an illegally opened minor account unfortunately.
