Subscription approval link leads to Error 500

I am implementing the subscription REST API, and during my tests, I am trying to open the approval web page in the response links

https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/billing/subscriptions?ba_token=BA-2G089765YH351752N

And all I see is a blank page, and an Error 500 request when inspecting in the network tab

I have tried using subscription creations with and without "application_context" with "return_url" and "cancel_url", with the same results

https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/billing/subscriptions?ba_token=BA-7BF07371J94665405

The return_url and cancel_url aren't implemented yet, so that may be why I only have a blank page, but I want to be sure that is why the page is blank.

Here are the responses from the subscription creations.

If that is not the case, what could I use as a workaround?

PS: I have tried implementing the missing links that I've sent as application_context in the subscription creation Rest call, but I still have a blank page when I'm trying to open the first link in a web browser.

Thank you for your answer

In the meantime, could you provide me what parameters would be appended to the return_url once a user approves the billing agreement?

And could you also let me know on this topic when it will be solved?

Hello @MTS_Justin
This issue still exists. Tried calling this URL https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/billing/subscriptions?ba_token=BA-430906411D4012636, but it's still giving 500 error.

I've tried creating a new application to test the subscriptions API, but the problem still remains. The response I get when creating the subscription is:

{
    "status": "APPROVAL_PENDING",
    "id": "I-M3SWH9BXF617",
    "create_time": "2020-06-22T15:43:12Z",
    "links": [
        {
            "href": "https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/billing/subscriptions?ba_token=BA-1EF404343E8189116",
            "rel": "approve",
            "method": "GET"
        },
        {
            "href": "https://api.sandbox.paypal.com/v1/billing/subscriptions/I-M3SWH9BXF617",
            "rel": "edit",
            "method": "PATCH"
        },
        {
            "href": "https://api.sandbox.paypal.com/v1/billing/subscriptions/I-M3SWH9BXF617",
            "rel": "self",
            "method": "GET"
        }
    ]
}

 When I open the approval link to pay the subscription I get this:

paypal_page.png

And if i inspect the web page:

paypal_error.png

{
    "ack": "error",
    "message": "Unhandled api error",
    "meta": {
        "calc": "5a1380da3a695",
        "rlog": "rZJvnqaaQhLn%2FnmWT8cSUo8QXTeqJkzg7PvyMHtc7jCbO2%2Bj5MlJN8Ud4vOAhfzafA5%2B6rMKrQTadTL6j0%2BLyQ_172dcb3a240"
    },

}

Please, I need help with this since I need to make a demo of my app soon.

Hi again @MTS_Justin

As @Le0n15 detailed, that's now how the error occurs, to a T. So, the issue is still there.

Hello All,

Apologies, there were some additional issues discovered after I reported the issue was resolved.

All the issue should now be resolved. I've tested the subscription flows today, creating a product, plan, subscription and approving as a buyer and all worked as normal. Subscription was also created correctly and billed the initial payment amount.

Apologies again for any inconvenience.

Thanks !
