Seller and buyer not receiving emails after purchase.

Hello! I have developed a website for a local business (my first production site) and have come across an issue with receiving payments.

 

I assumed all emails would be generated by PayPal automatically after the purchase has been made, but for some reason, no emails are being sent out to either the seller or the buyer. 

 

I reviewed other similar questions and they mostly had the same answer, the emails weren't verified. However, that being said, I went to production mode with my clients paypal to do a test transaction, it went through and we finished the transaction completely, but no emails were ever sent to either the buyer or the seller.

 

Any help is appreciated!

 

If it helps, I'm using a MERN stack and express checkout with braintree
