Sandbox Express checkout consistently down

The sandbox seems to be very unreliable. I have been developing an express checkout page this last week and the Sandbox has gone down everyday. It's down right now and I have no way of knowing when it will come back up. Both my form and the example from the docs https://developer.paypal.com/demo/checkout/#/pattern/client is down. the paypal status site (https://www.paypal-status.com/product/sandbox) says it is operational but all we get is is an error "Sorry, we can't complete your purchase at this time"  This is costing me alot of time is there anyway to test this without using a live account?

Hello,

I'm using sandbox every day this week and it's not been down once for me. Not being able to complete a transaction is different to not receiving a response or a sandbox resource not being available or "down".

Please share the specifics of the transaction your attempting so I can review it. If it's an API-based payment, please share the PayPal debug id.

This is the error I get. I'm using the javascript rest api for express checkout. This happens with my form but also is happening on the paypal demo example located at https://developer.paypal.com/demo/checkout/#/pattern/client so I don't think its my form. If I put it in live mode it works fine.

This is happening to me as well. I was testing in Sandbox just fine, then suddenly I get the error as described above. It now gives the error every time I try and check out of the cart (in the sandbox). I get into the PayPal checkout screen, enter all of the information (credit card stuff, address, etc) then click to pay. I the get the spinning wheel for perhaps 30 seconds, then the error message.

 

It has now been 2 days without getting PayPal to work.

 

In the developer account page, I also see some error messages which might be related?

I am using wordpress, a plugin WP PayPal Simple Shopping cart.

 

Is there an error log somewhere which might show why this is failing? It "looks" like your server is down, but maybe that is not accurate. There could be a Very Small possibility that I messed something up:)

Hi there

 

Yes we are observing frequent issues in our testing environment with PayPal.

 

We are testing our ecommerce website and we are using Global Collect as our payment gateway for credit card and PayPal transactions.

 

Credit card transactions are processed fine, but PayPal transactions are failing.

 

Steps to reproduce

1. Complete order on ecommerce site and hit PayNow with PayPal.

2. Wait about 30 seconds - 1 minute for PayPal landing page to load

3. PayPal landing page loads.

4. On PayPal landing page, provide PayPal test account credentials and click Log in button

5. Observe error see below

According to the PayPal status page https://www.paypal-status.com/product/sandbox everything is operational ! So we are left wondering how we can determine if the issues are application or environmental.

I've been having similar issues. The sandbox appears to give errors randomly and often. The status page is not being updated to reflect the actual status of the sandbox.
