I am using the smart button approach to call the subscription api, and I was getting the error below. This was working fine a week ago.
Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.
Paying with credit card: There was no cc input displayed, just the error.
Paying with paypal account: The login form was provided and on login the same error was displayed.

Hello,
Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.
There are a lot of different reasons that this particular error message may be happening.
Here are a few possible reasons:
- Incorrect or invalid variable or value being passed into the request
- Trying to pay yourself. If you attempt to pay using the same merchant account you can receive that error message.
- Sandbox API outage: please see https://www.paypal-status.com/api/sandbox if you click on History at the top you can see the most recent outages
Thank you,
Jennifer
