PayPal not re-sending failed IPN messages

Greetings !!!
Because of some reason, I lost a PayPal IPN data log that needs to be stored in our database. I have received the PayPal IPN message from PayPal server and during sending the acknowledgement to PayPal server, an error "The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request." has occurred.
Does PayPal have an option to resend the IPN data automatically . I know that we can do that manually by logging into PayPal business account, navigating to IPN history page and re-sending it again. But i need a process where PayPal can handle the failed IPN messages by re-sending it automatically. Please advice on what needs to be done
