PayPal Sandbox API unresponsive

I am developing a web site that uses Pay Pal   (Based on Umbraco / UCommerce /  PayPal Express Plugin using  “NVP/SOAP API integration” )  and the Sandboxed PayPal integration was working fine.  However last night it stoped working.  Now when the checkout process first calls Sandboxed PayPal with the following URL (I have replaced most of token with "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"):

https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/hermes/?cmd=_express-checkout&token=EC-1SXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&ulCl...

I get an animated waiting Icon in the middle of the page (padlock with rotating circle around it) which stays there forever. Strangely if I press the browser "back" button I get to the PayPal Sandbox Logon screen and can log-on as expected, but that is not a satisfactory workaround for customers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi again,

Here is some more information on my question above.

The URL  while the browser is hung / waiting is as follows (token changed):

https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webapps/hermes/?cmd=_express-checkout&token=EC-7XX20901A5XXXX220&ulCl...

Then when I press the back button to get the expected Log In page the URL is (token changed):

https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/webscr?cmd=_express-checkout&token=EC-7XX20901AXXXX220&useraction=com...

Any help in understanding why it is hanging rather than going directly to the log-in page would be appreciated.

Hello,

It shouldn't hang, it should reach the checkout page.

Please conduct another test and if the issue re-occurs please create a support ticket at https://www.paypal.com/mts and provide the 'actual' EC token within the support ticket, along with any other relevant information and we'll review.

Was my post helpful? If so, please give me a kudos!
