Hello,
We have been trying to see if there is a 2020 updated solution for the issue of uploading image URLs to Paypal and them not working or getting an error message "Please check the image file format in the Header Image URL. It appears to be an invalid file format." This error is from us trying to upload our logo to the Custom checkout page.
We are wanting to upload logo and header images for: Paypal Donation Button and Custom Checkout Page Styles.
(Our logo appears in the donation button setup as if it has been successful. It just doesn't appear when live)
- We have used the URL of these images from our website.
- We have tried Google photos and Google drive hacks of using the beginning https://drive.google.com/uc?id= and https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=
The only thing left we can think of is to use 3rd party services but we have seen that this doesn't always work as well. If someone has had success in recent years, we would greatly appreciate you replying with your strategy. Thank you!
Best wishes,
PHS TF

Hello,
Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.
The log image url needs to be something of this nature: https://yourweb/picture.jpg
If the file itself is not a .png .jpg or .gif then the logo image will not display properly.
Note: Logo Image URL - Choose an image with a maximum size of 190 pixels wide by 60 pixels high. The image will appear at the top of the order summary. We recommend providing an image that's stored on a secure (https) server.
Header Image URL - Please specify an image that is a maximum size of 750 pixels wide by 90 pixels high. Larger images will be cut to this size. The image you choose will appear at the top left of the payment page. We recommend providing an image only if it is stored on a secure (https) server.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Thank you for your help! We found a review article for the best 2020 image hosting services. We used one of the recommendations. It worked and we were able to get a direct link in the format you suggested. Thanks again! 🙂
