Credit Card v. Bank

With a credit card link, do I need to preload funds (like when using my bank link) into my Paypal account, or can I simply make a transaction using Paypal (as long as the credit card is primary link)?

No, you don't need to pre-load funds on a card, just enter the card details and the payment will be processed.
