I am trying to set up the sandbox and real API key however Bulgaria is not available? 

What do I do?

Hello,

You would need to go to "https://www.sandbox.paypal.com" and click on the US flag at the bottom of the page, choose "Bulgaria" and then click on "signup" at the top of the page to create an account.

We know this is less than ideal scenario, so we're planning on including all countries within the standard sandbox account creation via PayPal Developer as soon as possible.

I tried to follow your suggestion to create a testing sandbox business account but it gets pretty serious especially towards the end of the signup. Is this really the correct way? I want a testing business account for a country not listed (the same issue as in the OP). I made up the company name for example. I was expecting something not so formal considering I'm just trying to test PayPal integration at the moment.

Yes, for any country which does not appear on the account creation process within PayPal Developer, you need to open a browser and go to "https://www.sandbox.paypal.com" and as above, click on the country flag to choose the specific country you wish to make your account and then click on "signup" to start the account creation process.

Enter all the requested information, use fake data if possible which can be generated online for such a use case : https://www.fakenamegenerator.com/

Account creation process shouldn't take more than 2-3 minutes.

We're aware this is not ideal and the prefered solution would be to include all countries in the account creation process found in PayPal Developer and we're actively working towards that goal.
