Buy Now Button Special Instructions

When testing my new BUY NOW button, I see that my added option (to give purchasers a way to tell me how they would like me to sign the copy of my book they are buying) is not showing up at the time of purchase. This being my first foray into creating and using such a button, I presume this to be a user error. Any guidance?

PS. I've not tried it in SANDBOX, but by inserting it into my LIVE website and actually going through the process of buying a copy through another PayPal account.

The functionality of adding a note to the seller was depreciated when we upgraded our checkout pages to the version you see today.
