403 PERMISSION_DENIED partner-referrals

Hi,

I have a WordPress website and I'm trying to integrate with Paypal. I created a merchant app and configured the sandbox credential to test, but it is getting a 403 error:

Request path: /v2/customer/partner-referrals/
Status: 403
Issue: PERMISSION_DENIED
Description: Authorization failed due to insufficient permissions.

I've seen other people with the same problem, but it's not clear what the solution is. I'm in Brazil and I don't undestand if the merchant app is not available in my country or if there is another problem.

Does anybody know how to solve this?

Thanks

Good day @iVitrinas

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

When testing in Sandbox environment and creating your app, you have two options available:

1) Merchant

2) Platform

I would suggest you please create your app by selecting Platform. Once you have received the API credentials, you will be able to execute the required API calls in the Sandbox Environment.

Please refer PayPal Commerce Platform for Marketplaces and Platforms product which offers multiparty payment processing solutions for marketplaces and platforms.

Note: Please note that for LIVE integration, kindly fill the Marketplace application via below link.

Once applied, respective team will be reviewing your business details and contact you directly.
