10731 error

I am using Productcart and it is pre-built for PP. I get 10731, "The payment could not be completed for the following reasons

  • Field format error: 10731-The field Shipping Address Country is required"

When using the "checkout with paypal" button (credit card processing works). The developer showed in plain text that the country (US) is being sent. So I think one of the 999 possible settings in the 2 websites needed to make PP work is not correct. Maybe I missed it but I haven't found any kind of ABCD guide and I have spent a few month fiddling with everything. I have a business account, and a phone number listed. What else can it be?????

Hello,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Sandbox Community.

If you are still receiving the error of 10731, you will want to make sure that there are no extra spaces before or after US for the shipto country.

SHIPTOCOUNTRYCountry code. It is required if using a shipping address.
Character length and limitations: 2 single-byte characters

If there are extra spaces sometimes the value can come across as null (empty), which would cause that error message.
