Does anyone know how to add a Paypal Donate Button using React?

I followed the instructions from this article https://dirask.com/posts/React-use-PayPal-donate-button-1GLK4D and it works, but the button always renders twice and I can't figure out why. If anyone has advice on how to add a Donate Button to a webpage using React/JavaScript it would be greatly appreciated!
