taxes on shipping

Hi everyone, i have a question!!!!

i just notice that pay pal charge taxes on the shipping cost! is that right? why i have to pay taxes to pay pal on the shipping cost?

Because shipping costs are included in the amount the buyer pays you and PayPal charges fees on the entire amount received.

Hi  Sharpiemarker, thank you for your quikly replay, so, honestly it does not have a lot of sense, they calculate all together and it should not be like that, they should charge separately from the selling price of the item.

No, you are misunderstanding how PayPal service work even though I know what you mean. PayPal charges fees on the total amount of money your receive to your account per payment, that is the service you, me and everyone is paying for. PayPal does not separate out the shipping.

Then they need to change how taxes are calculated. We are being OVER charged. I won’t be using PayPal for my purchases in future.
