Why is it that I must first download a PayPal monthly statement first?

I find it inconvenient to first download the PayPal monthly statement first into my PC in order to view it.  Why can't PayPal make it view-able on screen right there?  Or, is there a trick to do it that I should know?  Thanks for any help.

It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
