I work for the dog walking app called Rover. I need to do my taxes and they said since I take my money from them through PayPal that I get my W2 from PayPal. How do I go about getting it? Thank you!
I don't think that is correct. PayPal provides W2s for their own actual employees. The ones that work at PayPal itself. If Rover don't want to take responsibility as you being one of their "employees" then you'll have to file as a freelancer/self employed or something. Check with a tax professional on who should provide you W2.
