The on-going issue of retrieving customer data

I see that the thread has been going on this topic since 2014 - it is now NOVEMBER 2018 and I don't see a solution. I find it hard to believe that this has been a "top priority" as stated and no solution in 4 years. That is enough time for someone to go back to school and get a bachelors degree in computer science and surely that would get us a solution. What kind of sales tool gives the business no access to any of their customer's information to maintain an open communication to build that all important relationship?

 

Please update me and others with a REAL answer - not the "we are working on it" one. If this will never be added as a feature please tell us so we can find our own solution before we waste any more time and lose customers.

 

I really hope I have missed the solution somewhere and this is all taken care of..... but at this time I haven't seen it anywhere. PLEASE ADVISE
