Hello- I was hired by a couple grad students in 2020 to write for their app start up- no contract or anything signed. They payed me through PayPal - temporary gig- and was paid less than $1000 for my work. How must I go about this from a tax perspective- is there a form PayPal must send me? I want to make sure I pay whatever taxes I must and am unsure where and how to go about getting the proper form for this.
