Seller ABN

We purchased through PayPal and the seller won’t give us a receipt with abn they are saying the transaction details are enough but I need the abn for accounting. How do a get an abn if the seller is refusing to advise one - is there a way to get this info from PayPal?

I'm assuming you are inquiring about Australian Business Numbers (ABN), from your question. I'm sorry to hear that the merchant is not being helpful in this situation. They may not be giving it out because it is not a requirement of PayPal to have it provided. I'd love to see if our Customer Service agents would be able to locate the information for you. I suggest you call in and speak with them, to see if an ABN is something we are permitted to give out. Here are the steps to contact us:

- Please visit our PayPal website.

- Click on the word "Contact" at the bottom of the page.

- Click on "Call us", then login or continue as a guest. 

- Select the phone number you'd like to use to call and dial.
