Could someone with accounting or tax law experience please explain to me why eBay is charging buyers sales tax, then PayPal turns around and charges the very same sales tax to the seller? Doesn't make sense. Between the two, they are charging the same sales tax twice. Shouldn't the sales tax just be paid once and only once by the buyer, like it would be in any other sales transaction?
