Paypal incorrectly exports QuickBooks IIF files

As I'm sure many people have seen, PP does not build their IIF files properly. Duplicates are common place, which is pretty frustrating. Does anyone have an automatic tool for de-duping the IIF?

I have this issue as well. It started a few months ago. PayPal changed something in how it assembles IIF files and now there are duplicated records for every transaction. I have to open the IIF file in Notepad and manually delete the duplicate records, which is error-prone and time consuming. 

If anyone has a solution, please post it - thanks!
