Australian business selling internationally in USD - need help regarding GST

Hi there, I am an Australian business, about to sell products internationally. I have a couple of questions about this:

1. I will be charging in USD to make it easier as I expect my largest customer base will be in the US. However, if the customer is in Australia, will their invoice/receipt automatically show a GST component (as required by law) even if they are paying in USD?

2. How does the currency exchange work? I've set up my business paypal account to accept both AUD and USD. The issue is that for tax, it needs to be converted immediately to an AUD value. Should I instead remove the USD currency in my paypal, and just keep AUD? Will this then automatically convert the USD payment to AUD as soon as they pay? What fees are then payable and who pays them? If I charge $50 USD for a product, I don't want the customer to then have to pay any extra $x to convert to AUD.
