I phoned Paypal and was told it cant be deleted. They should be able to delete old transactions for privacy on peoples accounts You can delete transactions from other sites but not paypal 🤔🤔🤔 im a bit miffed

Why would you need to delete it for privacy when no one but you should be viewing your paypal account?
