refunds and accessing money from a different place?

I have had a refund from a store because of not having enough stock however if i try accessing that money on a different website for example if i want to buy jeans it doesn't let me it says there is a transaction error . Has the store really sent a refund?

Hi there nad595,

When you receive a refund on your PayPal account it will depend on the funding source that you used to make your payment as to where your refund will go. For example if you used a debit/credit card to fund your payment and you receive a refund, your refund will be sent back to your card and this can take a couple of days to show up.

If you used your bank account or your PayPal balance to fund your transaction then your refund will be returned to your PayPal balance.

I would suggest that you review your initial transaction, to view your funding source and this may help you locate where your refund has been sent.
