missing refund

Hi, 

I made a purchase and paid through paypal but cancelled it. 

On the summary page, it says it has been refunded but I only received half the amount through my bank account.

The merchant says I need to talk with the bank while the bank said I have to ask paypal.

How can I receive the remaining half refund?

How did you fund the payment to the seller in the first place, did you have funds already in your paypal balance and the rest was taken from your bank account?

I am having a similar issue. Payment was initially made in 3 parts (US paypal balance, Canadian Paypal balance and bank account). Both PayPal payments have refunded properly but the bank account portion has still not been refunded. Normal?

Oh wow, three parts? 

It has been more than a month since I received the first half of the refund.

I contacted the customer service, they told me to talk with the merchant. 

I talked with the merchant, who told me to talk with the bank. The bank to paypal...

I transferred the fund from bank.

I tried contacting the customer service, but they were redirecting me back to the merchant.
