Hi nigel154,

Welcome to the Community Forum!

If you've sent a payment to an incorrect email, you may be able to cancel it from your side.

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘History’ near the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Cancel’ under ‘Order status/Actions’ next to your unclaimed transaction.
  4. Click ‘Cancel Payment.’

If you can't cancel the payment, you may be able to open a buyer dispute for the transaction to get a refund. To open a dispute on a transaction, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
  2. Click Resolution Centre near the top of the page.
  3. In the 'Report a problem' section click the Dispute a Transaction' button.
  4. Select ‘Item dispute’ and click Continue.
  5. Click Find transaction ID. A new window displays your transaction history.
  6. Select the Transaction ID you want to dispute.
  7. Click Continue and follow the instructions.

You can then escalate your dispute to a claim within 20 days. If you have any issues with completing any of these steps, please contact Customer Support directly for assistance. You can find our contact details by clicking on 'Contact Us' at the bottom of any page when logged in.

Hope this helps,

Sophie
