I was just sent £6.00 by someone to cover the Postage Costs on an Item that I was going to give away to them for free.
Paypal charged me 40p in Fees for this Transaction.
That I can grudgingly accept, although it would have meant that I would have to make up the Shortfall.
What I can't accept is that when I issued a Refund to the Person because the Item had been given to someone else in the meantime, Paypal only contributed 20p which means that I have been left 20p out of pocket.
Now I appreciate that we're not talking mega amounts here but what the **bleep** is that all about?
I was trying to do something good by recycling something I no longer needed and in the Process I have ended up losing out.
In future I'll just sell my things like most other People I think!

When you get paid, paypal charge you a fee which is 3.4% + 20p.
When you refund you get the 3.4% fee refunded to you but you have paid 20p to paypal to accept the payment in the first place and then process the refund for you.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
