Refund that has supposidly gone to my Paypal balance not present.

Yesterday, I got an email that a refund that has been processing for about a week has now completed.

On my summary, it says it is complete and it has gone to my PayPal balance, but the money is not in my Paypal balance.

Does it take a time after you get the email until you actually get the money?

No but it depends on how you funded your paypal payment in the first place eg bank account or debit or credit card.

I used my Visa card. But I'm confused because it says it was payed into my balance.

Yes that is confusing but they mean its been credited in your balance ie in your transaction history BUT  >>>

If you funded the original paypal payment to the seller with a debit or credit card then it won't go back to your paypal balance.

Once marked as completed it will automatically go back to your bank account or credit card but takes up to a week to process through to the bank and a bit longer for a c.c (paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week for mine).
