I was recently given a refund for an item I bought a couple of months ago that never arrived, but the refund was sent to my paypal account, then automatically returned to the original credit card. This card however, was lost over a month ago and I've since renewed my card and updated my details on to paypal. Is there any way of retrieving this payment?
When you make a card payment and receive a refund, the refund must go back to the original card. As you no longer have this credit card I would advise you to contact the card issuer and inform them a refund has been received back to your old card. They should be able to locate the funds for you.
