Receiving Money

Hi I was told that I was sent $500 BUT I never recieved an email or notification or anything like that. This is my first time usuing pay pal and I read that it can take 3-5 days for money to show up in the account but I haven't even recieved an email or anything. The person who "sent" the money sent me a photo of the confirmation screen and it said the status is completed and the payment stype said "Instant - Processing

Payment into your paypal account is more or less instant.

The 3-5 days is when you withdraw the funds from your paypal balance TO your bank account.

You should never send anything until the funds are in your paypal balance.

Have you verified your email address?

Have you checked that the email address the payment was sent to was correct with no typos?

Was it an international transaction?

Did you get an email confirming payment from paypal?

Are you sure the email was not a spoof?
