Can anyoine help of advise - im getting really worried - i opened a dispute on ebay, the seller after lots of emails back and forth finally agreed to refund me for an item that was very different/damaged to the listing given.

The seller issued the refund and ebay then closed the case!

The refund was showing as pending but should be recieved by 16th Dec however i have received an email today stating the refund had failed and to contact the seller which i have but yet to have a response.

I cannot seem to re-open the case on ebay and im just going around in circles.

Am i likley to never recieve my money back - im really worried about this, this is quite a lot of money too.

What can i do??

Contact eBay Customer Services. Tell them what has happened, and that the seller is no longer responding. eBay may give the seller another chance to refund you or will refund you themselves.

In addition, after a case has been closed, eBay still provides an opportunity to appeal the decision:

From http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/buyer-protection.html

Appeals

Buyers and sellers have one opportunity within 45 days from the day the case is closed to appeal the decision by providing the appropriate documentation via the eBay Resolution Centre...
