Hi! I paid an oline clothes shop through paypal, I sent it back and was issued a refund through paypal which for some reason said my finds would not be available for 7 days (strange since it was my money that I paid with anyway!). I have linked my card to my PayPal and clicked pay with paypal, I.e there were no funds in my PayPal account. I understand that this means that it goes straight back into my debit card but it should have surely been due back in today? It can't take more of a week to process! This is getting ridiculous. I'm sick of PayPal making it so hard to access my own money and am considering closing my account.

A seller can only issue a refund via funds in their paypal balance or an echeque.
So if its an echeque it has to clear through from the sellers paypal account and then it is credited to you and the hold lifted.
This is because paypal don't "refund in advance" like they do when you pay for an item and they credit the seller in advance for you and take the wait for the funds to process through to them.
Refunds to cards take "about" a week.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
