Paypal fee reversal

Hi,

I sold an item on ebay for which I receievd £61.00 for which Paypal deducted £2.27 as PayPal fees. Now the buyer wants to cancel the purchase as he is going out of town. I was about to refund back his money, but its showing £61.00 full refund. Will I be credited back £2.27 and will there be any additional fee for reversal. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Hulk00, and welcome to the PayPal community.

That's a great question. If you issue a refund for a payment you received, the full amount of the payment will be refunded, this includes the PayPal fees. There are no additional fees for the reversal.

I hope this helps.

I was always under the impression that the % part is refunded but not the 20p.

Has that changed?

Hi Kernowlass,

You are right. When a refund is issued the fixed portion of £0.20 GBP is retained as a processing fee but the percentage part of the fee is refunded.
