As the topic says. Where is my money give if PayPal sent an e-cheque request to my bank which cleared a day after the seller decided to cancel the order. Now I'm over £2k short at the bank and the money is not part of my PayPal balance, transaction just says cancelled and that was 2 days ago. Many thanks for reading/replying. Couldn't find any way to actually ask PayPal for help, pretty poor for a what?! multi billion infrastructure... ?

1.
When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal credit the seller for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal from your funding source. This is done so you get your item more quickly.

So when you cancel that payment  those funds can't do a u-turn > they have to process through to paypal who will then return them to your paypal balance (if it was funded from your balance or instant bank transfer), but that takes a few days and sometimes up to a week.

2.

Ways to contact paypal.

a. Click on help/contact bottom of this and every paypal page and use the phone option.

b. ''       ''         ''                 ''           ''        ''      ''         ''          ''     ''    ''     '' email option.

c. Use the messsage centre in your paypal account.

d. You can send c.s. a personal message via their Facebook page.

e. You can send c.s a personal message via their Twitter page.
