Different email addresses for diff. transaction types?

We used to use Paypal for one type of transaction and when there was a payment, we'd send an auto response with shipping details, triggered by the transaction.  Now we are getting revenue from other types of payments and that message is irrelevant to many of our customers. Is there a way to add a 2nd and 3rd email that would trigger a different message (or no message)?  We tried adding an eamil to the account, but then we got complaints that that email wasn't being accepted for payments via PayPal.
