wordpress API not returning updates to website

For the last couple of days orders paid via paypal are going in to pending payment status, then cancelling, but the payment has completed ok.

wordpress and woo commerce set up.  Web tech can't see any problems with the site.

Any ideas?

Are you using WooCommerce with PayPal Standard?  It sounds like a problem with IPN.  I would check your IPN History in your PayPal account to see if you're showing failures there.

Also, if you were to switch to our PayPal for WooCommerce plugin in place of PayPal Standard this problem would go away.
