All-
We integrate with Cornerstone as a learning management system. I had our Rest API configured improperly when someone completed a transaction on Monday. They were charged ($2,250), but there is no transaction history in our account.
Where could this money have gone??

Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
I request to contact your website developer to cross check the PayPal email address used to create REST API credentials(Client ID & Secret) which was used during the purchase (i.e $2,250).
Money will be credited to that particular PayPal account.
Please refer the guide link to more about unclaimed payments.
