Subscriptions - Create a Product and Plan for every subscription?

We are currently integrating PayPal Subscriptions into our Application and just want to confirm the following:

 Do we need to create a new product and plan for each Subscription we create? Or can we use a single product and plan as long as ?

The way I understand it, you can create a single plan and use it that with multiple agreements.
