Sent money to friend phone number and he didn't receive it

Hi, sent about 67 pounds to my friend (phone number) and he didn't receive a text or money into his account. Since the offices at paypal are closed because of Covid-19, I can't get a hold of anyone to help me plus the message option only gives me scroll down options that already exist. Please help since it's quite a bit of money and urgently need to send it

Hi @marcregow 

 

Outside of the typical troubleshooting like ensuring it was the correct number and that your friend's number is linked with the PayPal account, I would then cancel the payment. You can see from this help article here that you can cancel "Send Money" payments when they're still in the "Pending" state. If the transaction is not in the pending state, that means it has been accepted.

 

After that, maybe just get your friend's email associated with the account and send the money that way to be sure.
