We are a start-up building eCommerce platform like eBay where we take application fee(or commission) from sellers.
We are looking for payment gateway options, and found out Stripe and PayPal are one of the most popular
payment gateways. Assuming a buyer is buying items in a cart that are sold by different sellers,
how does the transaction lifecycle works and which methods should we use?
I would like to know step-by-step process such as :
buyers make a transaction for 3 items sold by different sellers -> PayPal holds funds -> PayPal sends funds to sellers -> etc
I also want to know how the refund process works.
