How do i get a List of all Transactions from my Account by API?

Hello,

i need a solution to get the complete list of all of my transactions which were made by my paypal account via API.

I need to get the Transaction-Informations so i can check if an Invoice i sent to a customer has been payed. In some cases i do have a Transaction-Number, in some cases i don't.

How can i archive this goal? Which API do i need to use to get my Task done?

Which restrictions apply when fetching the list?
